For the last few years, I’ve been using a service called efax to send faxes electronically, as well as to receive them electronically in my email, as well. Clients loved it because it kept everything electronically, and I loved it because it allowed me to send and receive faxes anywhere.
Whoa, I was missing out. Just used Docusign to send and receive a signed contract electronically, with no faxes, and I didn’t realize what I was missing. Instead of sending a document via efax, I can send it electronically and it never has to be printed. The client just opens the file online, signs digitally, and then sends it back electronically.

And does it ever work! Used it last week in a time-sensitive, competing offer situation. Rather than have my client waiting by a fax machine for my electronic fax to come through, I was able to send it and receive it in a matter of minutes, making our offer the first one the seller saw, and ultimately signed.
Consider me a fan. Another way to make Real Estate. Simplified.
Hey Jeremy! I just found this post, glad you like DocuSign. At my company we’ve had e-fax capabilities for about three years. The biggest problem I’ve had is getting senders to stop including a cover page.
As for DocuSign, I’ve subscribed to it for about 10 months now and I love it as well. I’ve really pushing agents here to embrace it. In fact I teach a one hour class thats approved for CE credit. I would guess that I’ve had about 300 agents take the class.
The new changes as of May 1st are great as well!

Sean – it really made things a lot easier, didn’t it? For a refinance, with busy schedules, you and your wife didn’t have to set up a time to head in and take everything on … just sign and go. Glad to hear lenders are using this as a tool.
