So? What will happen? Ordinance 1450 probably would not be a bad ordinance in different circumstances. Unfortunately, the council member that introduced has organized anti-Walmart events. The timing is obviously designed to provide council a to vote against plans that have already been submitted to the council.
The comprehensive plan already says that property would be a good place for a general retail operation, so the zoning people do not have any good reson to deny the plans.
I wish council would proactively try to work with developers, rather than wait and see what people do and then try to prevent people from developing their propery.
