Christmas season is upon us, and one of the things I really look forward to is going out to look at all the houses decorated in lights, most of them have professionals put them up, and they always do an amazing job. If you’re looking for a Colorado Christmas Light Installation professional, I would definitely recommend them . In years past, we’ve done the Christmas Map, where I’ve highlighted all of the houses I found that had some really great decorations – both elegant AND gaudy (oh admit it, you like the gaudy ones too). This year, I’m behind in getting the map up, and truthfully I just don’t have the time to do it.

Real Estate Tax Rates in the New River Valley
Ah, taxes; and real estate taxes have certainly been a part of the discussion in Montgomery County lately (see here and here). If you’re going to own a home, however, they’re a part of the equation when making your mortgage payment every month. These amounts will vary from locality to locality, and in some cases a municipality will have TWO rates – one rate will be for the City or Town, and the other rate will be for the appropriate County. Feel free to use the phone numbers below to contact the taxing authority if you have questions.*
The Roanoke Times – Rise in Real Estate Activity
The New River Valley real estate market is shifting – no doubt about that – and buyers and sellers will need to adjust. We still have some challenges, but things are improving. Sarah Cox of The Roanoke Times wrote about it in this past Sunday’s real estate section.
