The Town of Blacksburg IS encouraging residents and visitors to flock to downtown Blacksburg, however, and they'd like your input on how to make the 16 blocks even better. They'd like your input; the form is attached here, you can print the image and mail it to 300 Main Street in Blacksburg, or deliver it to The Lyric when you check out Brideshead Revisited and Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson.
Deadline for submission is September 15th.
JD – I thought that was odd, as well. I looked around on Blacksburg.gov and didn’t find anything that linked to the form. Maybe I’m missing it, but I didn’t see it.
It gives me the impression that the whole thing was hastily thrown together, rather than thoughtfully planned. Nevertheless, I hope citizens take the Town up on the request for feedback. That kind of collaboration can only be good for all of us, in the end.
